World Theater Day

Since the very beginning theater has been an influential factor in my life, a mode to express myself and live a practical life.  Discovering this beautiful art from rituals done centuries ago.  Stepping to Athens in Greece, drama there has probably taught us how to understand one’s grief by analyzing his tragedy.  Traveling long and far the theater touched Rome where a moment of relaxation and laughter took place. Theater never allowed you to hide your emotions; you do what you feel like even if your face is behind the mask. Learning of Ramayana and Mahabharata via theater has made the young generation aware about existence of humanism.    Romeo and Juliet, Orpheus and Eurydice, Paolo and Francesca, Layla and Majnun- they aren’t just stories, they remind that there is still Love in the world.
Theatre is not just about acting, it touches and introduces you to the inner you. It brushes your concealed personality. What could be better than being self expressed. We students end up stressing about studies; theatre is the element which practically gives us learning. How amazing it is to communicate with people never met before. Thank you for growing me, helping me to stand up in public, realisation of mistakes. Learning process never stops I still have a lot to gain. Wish you all a Happy World’s Theatre Day!

Own Song

Family’s donation
Father’s frustration
Man’s addiction
Your mother,
Killed by her brother
She has love of her sister
But still she faces a blister
She has her dreams
But on her every step they throw beams
She walks on with empty eyes
As the torturing moments fly by
She sits in the corner of the life train
With mind that knew nothing but pain
They scuttle and insert the weapon in her
She remembers his face
The face that had love
But the same face gave her a shove
His blood has that lust
But every time she trusts
She experiences a new tear in her crust
Her suffering is making her strong
You might make this prolong
But some day she will sing her
OWN SONG

-Gunit Cour

This poem is for every girl in the world who is a victim of dowry, molesting, heart breaks, rapes, gender discrimination. We may say that rural area is pretty remote but the urban area is no less. Unfair means against women, silent rapes, murders and sexual abuse in childhood. This is degrading the image of every man, 'Every Man' well we all live in stereotypical society where ever person is categorise, individuality is barely seen. This is a small attempt to edit our society, like it’s said ocean is made up of droplets, let's put as many pure drops as we can to create  a fresh ocean.
